When Spirit Guides Go Awry
Spirit guides exist. Spirit guides are entities outside the everyday self that come to help you in everyday life. Even the Pope in Rome has come out to make it official policy that one such guide, your Guardian Angel, does definitely actually exist. In fact the Catholic Church is a good example where in their Virgin Mary and Saints they have institutionalized spirit guides as part of their religion.
Little children before their minds have developed to create “reality” barriers regularly see “imaginary” friends before they grow up, or are socialized out of such encounters. These imaginary friends are cute in little children but what happens when such encounters continue on into adulthood? Consider that it is held to be very improper and rude to just talk about someone in the third person when they are right there; so how much worse is it if someone is talking to an entity only they can see to the exclusion of other people around them?
When an adult has not learnt, or been able to build a “reality” barrier, to stop an experience of actually seeing a spirit guide in this world they are held to be “strange” and schizophrenic. Movies give the rest of us a taste of this private world. In the comedy Harvey a very gentle treatment is given but in the semi autobiographical film A Beautiful Mind the full tragedy is made clear. Only saints and mystics are allowed to have visions, a double standard.
Spirit Guides are a part of many traditions (an indirect proof of their reality) and are a very helpful and useful adjunct to life for those who can utilize them. The trick is to fully realize they are “spirit” entities and not of this physical world. Fortunate are those who have learnt not to throw out the baby with the bathwater and to enrich their lives with what Spirit Guides have to offer!

Hi, I was flying through some sites when your blog caught my eyes. I was surprised to find how good you manage your views and write them accordingly.
One thing that I find the most helpful is number five. Sometimes when I write, I just let the flow of the words and information come out so much that I loose the purpose. It’s only after editing when I realize what I’ve done. There’s defiantly a lot of great tips here I’m going to try to be more aware of.
